From the New Haven Register on Dec. 8.
Five years ago, no one would have predicted the fate of Highville Mustard Seed Charter School.
The Hamden school was in financial ruins at the hands of its former director and founder. The state was threatening to close it.
But at the insistence of parents and with support from the state Department of Education and then-state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, the school was given a new charter and a new name.
And now, Highville Charter School has been named a ConnCAN Success Story School.
